Deep Dive into Dahlias

Learn all about fall’s favorite flower

This class is for the garden buffs! In this informational class, you’ll join Emily on the farm to take a deep dive into dahlias. Not only will you learn a lot but you’ll also get your hands a little dirty as I guide you through the process of digging, cleaning, and splitting dahlia tubers. You’ll get to practice on my tubers and even take a bunch home at the end!

What else will you learn?

  • My favorite method for storing tubers over the winter so that they are ready for spring planting.

  • My tips on overwintering your dahlias without digging them up even here in our cold winters.

  • How to split your clumps to propagate more plants.

  • All about spring planting and summer care to ensure the best blooms in the fall

  • Various support methods

  • And so much more!

These flowers can be divas for sure but I’ll help to make them more approachable so that you can tackle them in your own garden and enjoy the true beauty of one of the most breathtaking flowers!

You’ll go home with a load of tubers to keep and plant once spring rolls around along with a printed re-cap of this class so you can refresh your memory once the snow melts and the ground warms up!

No experience necessary. We will be learning quite a bit of information and diving pretty deep into this one variety so some basic growing knowledge (of any kind) may help but certainly not required. If you’re interested at all in growing your own dahlias, this class if for you!
